As your Doula, I will accompany you in labor to help ensure a safe and satisfying birth experience. As a non-clinical provider, I will use my knowledge and experience to provide emotional support, physical comfort, and communication with your provider to ensure you have the information needed to make informed decisions in labor. I provide reassurance and perspective to you and your partner, make suggestions for labor progress, help with relaxation, posture/positioning, and other techniques for comfort. I will support you to my fullest in facilitating the kind of birth you have envisioned for yourself and your family.  I am independently self-employed. As your doula, I am working for you, not your caregiver or hospital/birth center. I trust your instincts and will help you follow them, I will never judge your decisions, and I will be there during your birth, and/or after your baby is born.What does this mean?
